Young Chefs Dinner - Bank of Butterfield

On Saturday September 30th at the Bank of Butterfield's private dining room, we invite you to a very special meal that will be prepared by the winner of the Young Chefs Competition Anthony Da Ponte. Chef Da Ponte has been practicing under the watchful eye of Executive chef Adam Ashe from the Hamilton Princess Hotel and Executive chef Christopher Malpas from the Bank of Butterfield private dining.
 
On the night, along with Chef Malpas,  Chef Da Ponte will be helped by the 2 other young chefs who participated in the competition that was held at the Bermuda College in May. Both chefs work at Huckleberry Restaurant and they are, Navar Dacosta and Leanna Estes.
 
This dinner will be Chef Da Ponte’s final practice before he goes to Istanbul to compete on October 5th. He will be accompanied by his advisor Chef Malpas. We would like to thank the following sponsors who made the dinner possible and who also helped us cover the cost of sending Chefs Da Ponte and Malpas to Istanbul.

Chef Da Ponte put a very interesting menu together. The aforementioned wine merchants will pair each course with a nice selection of wine. We will start the evening at 7 PM with a cocktail reception, dinner will be served at 7:30 PM. Cost is $200 per person restricted to members but including spouses/partners who may not be members. A maximum of 24 guests only. Dress is smart casual with ribbons. Because of the nature of this meal we will not be able to accept substitutions in case of allergies.
